School Of Management had organized a seminar on “Sustainability without Plastic Bags” on the day of “International Plastic Bag Free Day” at "SOM Seminar Hall” from 12.30 pm onwards. The seminar was conducted with an objective to bring awareness and make the students understand the harmful effects of using plastic on health and environment. Plastic bags never degrade completely, which shows that the more plastic bags, the more there is plastic pollution and its adverse effects. Banning the use of plastic bags will help reduce this great effect. Ms.Khushali Chotani from School of Science and Mr. Parth Sheth from School of Management jointly conducted the session. There were around 150 students from BBA semester 3 & 5, who got enlightened by the session. It provided a platform to students to understand the harsh effects of Plastic on their health and discuss ways to replace plastic and protect our Environment. The endless efforts of student coordinators Ms. Mohini Rughani and Ms.Komal Suchak and faculties made the event a huge success. The entire event was a great success under the support and guidance of Dr.Aarti Joshi.
